Therapy is about seeking unbiased, nonjudgmental support in a safe space. Through therapy, clients have the potential to experience a significant reduction of stress, increased skills for identifying resolutions to specific problems, greater personal awareness and insight, and increased satisfaction in interpersonal relationships.

Currently, we accept insurance for individual therapy focused on clinical needs like anxiety, depression, or trauma. Because insurance providers generally only cover 'medically necessary' treatment, couples and sex therapy are offered exclusively through private pay. This allows us to focus entirely on your relationship goals without the constraints of a medical diagnosis.
Each clinician accepts different insurance plans. As a practice, we accept Aetna, United Healthcare, Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, Oxford, and Oscar insurance. We encourage clients to obtain their copay or cost-share amount and coverage from their insurance provider for behavioral health services prior to the initial assessment.

While paying out-of-pocket is an investment, it offers several advantages:
No Diagnosis Required: You don’t need a mental health diagnosis on your permanent medical record to receive care.
Total Privacy: Your insurance provider won't have access to your session notes or treatment plans.
Tailored Care: We can focus on what matters to you without being restricted by the "medical necessity" requirements or session limits set by insurance companies.

We accept debit, credit, HSA, FSA cards, and ACH payments. Payment is processed on the day of service prior to session. We also accept Loveland Vouchers.
-
Most insurance companies operate on a medical model, meaning they only reimburse for the treatment of a specific mental health diagnosis (like Major Depressive Disorder). Because couples and sex therapy focus on relational dynamics and personal growth rather than a medical illness, insurance providers typically do not classify them as "medically necessary."

Under the law, healthcare providers must give clients who don’t have insurance or are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services. You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service, or at any time during treatment. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, or how to dispute a bill, see your Estimate, or visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
