Savannah Mcfarlin, Counselor in Training

Hello! I’m Savannah and I am a counselor in training, focusing on trauma treatment. I finished my Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a secondary major in Criminology at the University of West Georgia in 2019. I went on to finish my Master of Science in Psychology, with an emphasis in Forensics, from Grand Canyon University in 2021. I am currently working towards the completion of my Master of Arts in Rehabilitation Counseling with the University of Alabama.

My approach to therapy is to develop strong rapport with my clients so I can understand which modalities will be most effective for them. This includes practicing unconditional positive regard, focusing on your strengths, discovering environmental barriers and modifications, and always meeting you where you are at by creating a safe space.

Some fun facts about me: I am a mom of a beautiful 2-year-old, I was born and raised in Georgia, and in my free time you will catch me traveling to National Parks, hiking with my Bloodhound, practicing yoga, or rewatching Criminal Minds.
